We aim to promote the confidentiality, security and integrity of personal data across the continent. We also want to play a leading role in the innovation and regulation of disruptive technologies in Africa. This means raising awareness of the importance of the topic through education and training campaigns, as well as mobilising and harnessing all African expertise on the subject. We want to play a key role in helping African society move towards responsible use of information technologies, by ensuring that everyone's fundamental rights to privacy and data protection are respected.
